Setting up WebConnect as a PWA (Progressive Web App) on the Windows PC offers a number of advantages in use:
- Browser elements are hidden
- WebConnect behaves like a standalone program
- WebConnect can be an icon on the desktop
- WebConnect can be integrated into the Windows start menu
- WebConnect can be a program icon in the footer.
Installation is easy and is supported by the Chrome browser, for example.
Start your WebConnect domain in the Chrome browser. At the top right you will see an icon in the browser bar that displays the Install WebConnect message.
Here again as a screenshot:
When you click on the icon, a message comes up from the Chrome browser asking if you want to install WebConnect as an app. Click Install here.
This completes the installation, the program icon is now on your desktop.
You can now right-click on the icon and select Pin to taskbar under settings.
This makes the icon a fixed part of the taskbar and you can conveniently start your WebConnect installation directly from here.
WebConnect will then look like this on your screen without the browser bars.
