When you start the system for the first time, you will see the WebConnect interface.
2 notes are displayed that we strongly recommend to observe:
1. Enable 2FA for installation. This creates an additional level of security against unauthorized access
2. Add an email address to your user accounts so that you can use the forgot password function.
The following picture shows the different areas using the example of a set-up installation
1. Menu header - here you can see the currently active user. If you store the name, the organization and the telephone number in the user administration, this information will also be displayed here.
2. The last active connections - by clicking on the tiles you can restart the connection.
3. The list of all connections including the status display (green = active, grey = inactive). The system detects devices that have set up Wake-on-Lan and displays Start device. For active devices, the connect button is active.
4. List of all devices that are active and found by network scan. Only administrators and users with the right "Create new connection" can see it.

### Settings menu items
1. Display remote support on or off with a link to the setting
2. Current version number with link to version and changelog
3. WebConnect logo with link to the WebConnect website
4. Display of free memory with link to file manager
5. Settings- opens the top menu with all configuration settings
6. Notes - notes can be stored here
7. Active Sessions - shows all currently active connections and allows the administrator to end sessions
8. History - all connections from the last 10 days are displayed here
9. Fail2Ban - blocked IPs are displayed here. The administrator has the option to remove locks or set them permanently.
10. Settings - here the language, the time and the template can be selected individually. There are also mobile settings for keyboard and mouse behavior here.
11. Global settings - The administrator can make general system settings here (remote support, shared drive, fail2ban, alias, port, 2FA, individual wallpaper)
